Department of Japanese Literature

In the forest of Japanese language and literature, we feel our breath touch the trees; it carves lines like the rings of time in a treefs trunk. New leaves sprout; we lend our ear to its sound as sunlight leaks in from the canopy above playing with the shadows, our eyes are drawn to the dazzling spectacle. This time provides us with strength, logic and heightened sensitivity, and the ability to express these in words.
